I set up these roses to paint them (how else can you immortalize beauty?), and a frame was sitting behind them. So I put the frame in front and pulled the roses through it. Then I painted it as a Trompe l'Oeil. That's French for  "Trick the Eye," and is a classic way of making objects look three-dimensional.
