This is a Master copy of a Carl Kronberger painting named A Portrait of a Man in a Tavern. I chose this one because it reminded me of my father and his brothers, big strong men of German descent whose outlook on the world was comfortable and cheerful. The 19th century is famous for a lot of Masters, and one learns a lot when one copies from a Master painter whose technique was comprehensive!
